The semi-automatic drum seaweed dryer is an effective solution tailored to specific customer needs.
It operates on the principle of hot air convection and is connected to a hot air production system. The main part of the dryer is an electrically driven rotary drum that can rotate in both directions. The front cover includes a chute for raw material loading and an opening for hot air supply, while the rear cover has an exhaust opening for moist air and is removed during product unloading.
During loading and unloading, the front part of the drum—together with its roller support system—is lifted by a hydraulic drive.
Drying takes place in batches of 50–200 kg. Once the process starts, fresh, chopped or partially dried raw material is fed into the rotating drum, and hot air at 70–110 °C and 1–3 m/s is supplied.
Throughout the drying cycle, drum rotation, temperature, airflow, and relative humidity (RH) are automatically monitored and controlled by integrated sensors. Parameters are optimized based on the results of the first (test) batch and can also be fine-tuned during operation using mobile measuring devices.
